(May 23, 2011, Addis Ababa)- The Defense Ministries of Ethiopia and Kenya signed a bilateral military cooperation agreement in Addis Ababa on Monday.
Signing the agreement were defense ministers and chiefs of staff of the two countries.

Speaking on the occasion, the two ministers expressed belief that the agreement would help reinforce the East African war on terror.
Ethiopian Defense Minister, Siraj Fegessa said the agreement would have a vital role in maintaining the peace and stability of the region.
Kenyan Defense Minister, Mohammed Yousuf Haji for his part said besides their active involvement in international peacekeeping missions, Kenya and Ethiopia have been contributing share to regional peace and stability.
