Addis Ababa, April 5, 2011 (Addis Ababa, ENA) - The House of Federation (HoF) called on nations, nationalities and peoples of Ethiopia to rally behind the government in the efforts to finalize construction of the Great Millennium Nile Dam Project.

The foundation stone for the project is laid during the process of implementation of the five-year Growth and Transformation Plan, the House said, adding, launching of the project is great hope to get rid of poverty.
The House called on the public to contribute share including in purchasing government bonds and finalize construction of the project as per the promise which says "We the Ethiopian nations, nationalities and peoples shall make a concerted effort to bring Ethiopian renaissance to a point of no return."
It urged the public to further strengthen unity towards completion of the project as the dam enables to eliminate poverty.
The House also stressed the need for the public to be committed towards the same goal.
