Addis Ababa, April 7, 2011 (Addis Ababa, ENA) - Trade and economic relations between Ethiopia and South Korea have been progressing well, Deputy PM and FM Hailemariam Dessalegn said.
While receiving South Korean delegation led by Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Kim Sung Hwan on Thursday, Deputy PM Hailemariam said Ethiopia is keen to expand and deepen the ties in all areas with South Korea
He said Ethiopia is interested to work closely with S. Korea in multi-lateral areas including climate change, peace and stability and development. The Deputy PM said the delegation visit would play instrumental role to revitalize the excellent relations of the two countries.
Minister Sung on his part said agreements will be signed to further strengthen cooperation in the area of agriculture, transfer of science and technology and investment. He said Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed to avoid double-taxation.
South Korean experts will provide support in the efforts of mineral exploration undertakings in Ethiopia.
