Lagos was initially scheduled to host the Super Eagles game, but a test run with last month's international friendly against Sierra Leone exposed problems.
Players were also uncomfortable with the artificial turf at the the Teslim Balogun Stadium and insisted on returning to Abuja.
And at its meeting over the weekend, the Executive Committee of the NFF bowed to those demands and "endorsed the recommendation of its Technical Committee that the 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier between the Super Eagles and Ethiopia be played at the National Stadium, Abuja on Sunday, 27th March, starting from 7pm, while the London 2012 Olympics qualifier against Equatorial Guinea be played in Benin City, on Saturday, 26th March, 2011."
