A Buckinghamshire man has been jailed for murdering his wife two days after she arrived in the UK because she refused to have sex with him.
Naimo Moalin, 31, of Ethiopia, was strangled with her headscarf at Tolcarne Avenue, Fishermead, Milton Keynes between 21 and 22 May
Mr Justice Cooke said Jama must serve a minimum of 20 years in custody.
During the trial Ben Gumpert prosecuting said Jama had married his wife in her home country several months before the murder.
'Escaped through window' She had arrived at Heathrow airport on 19 May to join him and live in a room he rented in a multi-occupancy house.
Mr Gumpert said: "In short he claimed that in the few days that his wife had been in the country she had become friendly with a young Somali man and he suspected she had been having an illicit relationship with him.
"He said she had rejected his (Jama's) sexual advances and no longer wanted to be with him."
Jama said on the night his wife died he had arrived home to find her with another man and the three of them fought.
He told the court he feared for his life and jumped out of a window to escape, and his wife was still alive.
